Eligibility :
Doctoral Degree: Candidates must hold a Ph.D. or an equivalent degree. Applicants from all disciplines and nationalities are encouraged to apply.
Academic Excellence: Applicants must demonstrate outstanding academic qualifications and research potential in their respective fields. This includes a strong publication record or notable achievements in research.
Early Career Researchers: Applicants should generally have completed their doctoral degree within the last 12 years for experienced researchers, or within the last 4 years for postdoctoral researchers.
Host Institution in Germany: Applicants must secure a research position at a host institution in Germany. A confirmation letter from a German academic host is required as part of the application process.
Language Skills: Adequate knowledge of the English or German language, depending on the research project, is necessary for effective communication during the fellowship.
No Prior Extended Stay in Germany: Applicants who have spent significant time in Germany, specifically more than six months in the 18 months prior to application, may not be eligible.
Commitment to Research in Germany: The applicant must propose a research project to be conducted in Germany and demonstrate the project's relevance to their academic career and the host institution.
